Early May on the sunny South Coast is usually a time of perfect weather, though this year a 40 km/h south-westerly wind was in the forecast. Thankfully, the breeze turned out to be gentle, and the day unfolded with ideal conditions—clear skies and a relaxed atmosphere.
Tessa and Pieter, well-acquainted with the charms of the East Coast Bays of KwaZulu-Natal, have a holiday home in Bazley. We were honoured that they chose The Laughing Forest Wedding Venue to celebrate such a meaningful milestone in their lives.
The ceremony was beautifully conducted by Dianne Visser—both a dear friend and experienced officiant—while Riaan, one of our trusted DJ partners, kept the energy lively throughout. Aimee Hofmann Photography captured the joy and spirit of the day wonderfully, as can be seen in the accompanying photos that radiate festivity.
Nestled between Pennington and Mtwalume, the East Coast Bays are true hidden gems of the mid to lower South Coast, but on this day, Tessa and Pieter were the brightest stars. Their grounded, heartfelt approach to life aligned perfectly with the family-oriented spirit of our venue.
Our resident chef, Menzi, prepared a flawless lamb dish, complemented by the rest of the thoughtfully curated menu. Khosi’s homemade buns were a crowd favourite—both beautiful and delicious.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Tessa and Pieter. May their journey together be filled with love, laughter, and blessings from above.
