It's another Friday Wedding today. The weather is perfect, and Monique and Hendrik have chosen a package catering for 30 guests.
The bridal party slept over for a few nights enjoying the fire pit/communal braai area, direct beach access and the relaxed, tranquil environment of the resort.
The ocean today is a beautiful sky blue and the dolphins have shown up for the occasion. The Laughing Forest is alive with birdlife and although we are not a golf course destination our activity opportunities in the superbly manicured gardens include a couple of perfectly placed golf greens. Guests can improve their golf skills and choose from six courses within a 30-minute drive of the beach resort.
Food Options: The food today was made up of a wide variety of sumptuous platters. The bride and groom chose a function without a main meal. As usual Menzi our in-house chef and his team have poured their heart and soul into the food.
Photo Opportunities: The Laughing Forest is a photo shooting paradise. The venue is dedicated to the bridal party and their guests. Photography was done by Chandre of Timeless Sprout Photography and the flowers supplied by Appals House of Flowers.
Ceremony Options: The ceremony area, which is generally set up on the terraces overlooking the beach, has a tented covering structure, providing both rain cover and shade. We also have a brick structure in the event of hard rain. When the weather is good, we can also perform the ceremony on the beach.
The sound system was supplied by the Laughing Forest as well as the background sound at the bar/reception area. Many people find this small wedding package attractive as it is inexpensive, the resort is still exclusive. Accommodation facilities are available, and décor can be included.
